Default Does IMS Candy Stack?

been running darkrime delves recently and it says you need a red rock candy to beat the first level. would i be able to use say a red and a blue candy to free up a slot on my skill bar by removing my running skill even though it breaks the 33% IMS limit?

the 33% thing i saw on the wiki

no...U max speed is 33%
but..let say U get a condition to slow U down all speedboost will be deducted from it
Crippled (you move 50% slower) - red rock 33% -blue 25% -green 15% = and U still move 23% faster.

all speedboost past 33% helps to not slow U down.

You can get 50% speed boost with Dash for example, but speed boosts won't stack past 33%.

If you use red + blue + green rock candies you still move at +33% speed boost. If you use Dash you will move at +50% for the duration of Dash and go back to +33% when Dash ends.

As Devilman says, stacking speedboosts is helpful against snares (or for example the Tar effect in the Spawning Pools in the Underworld).

However, they don't stack additively like Devilman suggests, but multiplicatively. -50%, +33%, +25% and +15% won't stack to +23% (adding them all up with each other), but 1 x .5 x 1.33 x 1.25 x 1.15 = 0.96, meaning you will still move slower than normal. You'll need another speed boost to have an increased movement speed despite being crippled.

Sure, I'll try to make it simple .

Effect stacking:

Different movement speed boosts will only stack to a total of +33% speed. However, a single skill can go past this on its own (example: Dash has +50% speed and Burning Speed can go over +33% depending on Fire Magic attribute level).

If you use multiple speed boosts, they will not add additively but multiplicatively. I will demonstrate the difference with an example.

Say you use a Green Rock Candy (+15%) and a Blue Rock Candy (+25%) at the same time.

If they stack additively, you would get a 15% + 25% = 40% speed boost (capped at 33% because speed boost stacking is limited to 33%).

If they stack multiplicatively, you would get 1 x 1.15 x 1.25 = 1.4375 = 43.75% speed boost (capped at 33% again).

As you can see, the two methods of stacking are different. In the example Devilman gave (Cripple and Red Rock Candy and Blue Rock Candy and Green Rock Candy together) this is even more apparent: additive stacking ends up in a 23% speed boost, while multiplicative stacking ends up in a 4% decreased speed movement.

In conclusion, using speed boost effects which stack past 33% are only useful when dealing with snares (like Tar or Crippled).
